Dominique Vézina

Fragility fixed in metal.

I’ve spent a lifetime drawn to texture and making. Two grandmothers who taught me to sew and knit, a career spanning over forty years in fashion, and as a teenager, wandering the old streets of Brussels watching the dentellières at work — their quiet dedication to lace never quite left me.

That fascination lives in every piece I make. Vintage lace, floral fabrics and ornamental textiles are waxed and formed into wearable pieces before being cast in silver and vermeil — preserving their threads, voids and tensions in permanent form. Something inherently soft, made enduring. Surface holding memory.

Each piece is individually cast and finished by hand in London.

Woven Memory

I’m delighted to announce the launch of Woven Memory, a new collection shaped by the textures, gestures, and quiet beauty of textile craft. Inspired by vintage lace, ribbon, braid, and the feminine traditions of making, each piece in this collection begins as fabric before being transformed into sterling silver using the lost wax casting technique. The result is jewellery that preserves softness in sculptural form — traces of thread, weave, and pattern held within metal. Created in my East London studio, Woven Memory reflects my ongoing dialogue between art, fashion, and material. These pieces carry memory, texture, and intention, honouring the patience and devotion found in traditional craft while reimagining it for the present. The full collection is now available to explore online.
